- Leading the Sustainable Packaging Development in the company. - Responsible for the adherence and implementation of the policies pertaining to the Plastic Waste Management 2016 as amended, Extended Producer responsibility and Single Use Plastic guidelines. - Establish Framework for the EPR, Recyclability and Circular Economy for all the product categories. - Guiding and educating the Sales/Marketing teams and customers for shifting onto more sustainable packaging options. - Development of the Biodegradable and compostable films and getting relevant certifications for the company to promote and sell the flexible packaging products in Indian and Foreign markets.- Heading the New Product Development (NPD) to develop, introduce to custoemrs and launch new packaging films in the market.

Achievements: Establish inhouse packaging development for all variants of packaging like blister and shrink pack, foil wrapping and manual fulfilment, Achieved cost savings of $500K in packaging by developing and upgrading inhouse fulfilment facility. Spearheaded in qualification of MORPHO as an approved fulfilment supplier for a very large Africa & Middle East (MEA) Telecom Service Provider / Operator. Introduction of Flexible packaging (BOPP: plain and printed) for SIM Card market. Successful development and introduction of Re-pluggable, 4-in-1, transparent and quarter cards that are compliant with ISO/IEC and ETSI standards. Developed SIMply Special SIM Card having multiple printing features for enhanced aesthetics. Development of hardware aspect for M2M & IOT SIM Cards based on ISO/IEC requirements.  Successful introduction of Paper SIM card as an eco-friendly SIM Card substrate to ensure sustainability.Key Deliverables: Conceptualisation, new product development & sourcing: implementation across manufacturing sites through PROMPT methodology.  Responsible for Costing and pricing to sales team for packaging and SIM Card tenders and RFQ’s. Seek innovative solutions for the procurement process, develop action plans and participate in cross functional / divisional teams. Exploration of new markets / market research and define marketing & sales strategy and product mix. Managing telecom products (SIM’s Card body and plug formats) throughout the product lifecycle (PLC).  To identify, develop and upgrade packaging material suppliers in co-ordination with corporate strategic sourcing team based on Customer's requirements. Introduction to new machines and equipments based on future forecasted orders.

Achievements: Developed special type of PE based label for Mono vial infusion: a “COMPLIANCE PACK”. Achieved cost savings of INR 20 million for the organization by developing alternate source of board to replace existing FBB & white back chromo board. Achieved savings of INR 2 million by reducing the no. of colours used in printing the jobs of Brazil market. Development of the special grade of Internal Lacquer Coating for aggressive creams and ointments.  Development of High Scuff High Gloss Varnish for cartons and labels to withstand even the harsh transportation conditions. Development of the security tape and label as an anti-counterfeiting measure.  Development of Booklet label to achieve cost savings and increase in productivity.Key Deliverables: Packaging and documentation of the New Chemical Entities (NCE’s) for clinical trials.  Taking up of Exhibit Batches for ANDA’s filing. Packaging and data generation of API’s and Pharmaceutical medicines for stability studies. Development of the change parts for blister and strip packaging machines.

Achievements: Has been awarded “KAIZEN” certificate for three different projects.  Standardization and cost reduction in Corrugated Boxes on the basis of RCT and ECT concept. 20% cost reduction in the Inlays and Band Rolls. Development of shrink OPS film, EPS washer, indigenous tear tape, bubble sheets. Standardization of printing development by introducing centralized pre-press and FTP transfer system.  Implemented the Spectroscope inspection system to enhance printing quality standards at all vendors.
