He has worked at global consulting firm, mid-sized startups, multinational companies as well. All this breadth of experience enables him to see from the lens of founder, operator, investor, acquirer, being acquired, integrator, consultant, at MNC/startup, mentor, biz coach etc. He has experience managing businesses across 13 Asia Pacific countries (MY, SG, ID, PH, TH, HK, TW, JP, KR, China, AU, NZ, IN).Through the journey, he has experience going through ups and downs in expansion across countries, verticals, business models, post merger integration, rebranding from Groupon to Fave, restructuring, pivoting from fitness to deals to merchant loyalty to fintech, layoff, cost cutting etc, whether as an operator or as an angel investor or mentor.He is an Eisenhower Fellow and an alumnus of Cornell University. He is passionate and active in youth/student/entrepreneur empowerment, and he spent quite a bit of his free time in mentoring for various programs, including McKinsey's Youth Leadership Academy since 2010. He started USAPPS, non profit initiative which has been running since 2006, helping Malaysians to achieve their dreams to study at top US universities.He is also an angel investor, who has invested in >30 early stage startups in the region. He has spoken at various conferences around the region too.He is open for independent non-executive board director position and as adjunct professor.
