I am the general aviation safety social media lead and an associate editor for the FAA Safety Briefing magazine, which is part of the national FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) under the FAA Flight Standards Service. The FAASTeam's mission is to improve the Nation’s aviation accident rate by conveying safety principles and practices through training, outreach, and education. I am responsible for the online version of the magazine and the social media and email marketing to drive pilots and mechanics to the content. I work on website design and video production for several safety series. I am also on the Safe Air Charter working group.

I founded the company as a veteran-owned small business with other local DC-area residents that had a passion for travel and tourism. Through the HostelHiker service, we offered tours, trips, and transfers between local hostels and other popular landmarks in the mid-atlantic region. We helped build connections between hostels and hostelers and raise awareness of inexpensive accommodations within the United States. And we managed several short-term residential properties.
