Hello! My name is Cian and I'm a Video Editor. I have a passion for all things video and sound and I bring that passion to my work every day. My strengths lie in my versatility, enthusiasm and tenacity. My current role as a Video Editor for Content Service Provider Inflight Dublin has given me the invaluable industry experience that can't be replicated by listening to a lecture or watching a tutorial.Of course words are words and you need the paper to back them up! I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Digital Media from TU Dublin as well as a Certificate in Animation Top-Up from Pulse College. These two courses were invaluable in providing me with essential skills in editing (both video and audio), the Adobe suite of apps, DSLR and film camera functionality and creative problem solving. The animation course in particular helped me to develop a keen sense of rhythm and timing to my editing which I feel gives me the edge over other editors (my "comp-editors"). Over my years of study and work in the industry, I have amassed a skillset that enables me to be strong on the technical side of editing while also allowing me the freedom to be creative when the solution demands it. I love working with passionate, proficient people; there's always more to learn and workflows and skills can always evolve and improve! Something important to me is to never stagnate in a role so I'm always looking to enhance my skillset and add more tools to my editing arsenal.
