I am a hardworking, passionate person, having graduated from the Munster Technological University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife Biology. Throughout the years, I have gained invaluable knowledge in regards to both ecological and laboratory experience. I have gained skills in vegetative sampling, ornithology, mammal ecology, freshwater ecology, habitat mapping, geographic information system (GIS), public speaking, data management and technical report writing, with a keen interest in the marine environment and spreading the importance of these complex ecosystems to the public. I am always interested to further develop my skill set, and motivated to do so. I also thrive in outdoor environments, and my overall hopes and objectives is to gain an occupation which allows me to deliver my full potential to myself and to an employer. Since a young age I have always had a keen interest in nature, and it was from this young age that I knew I wanted to pursue a career in Wildlife. Taking this path has allowed me to delve further into the field of Wildlife & develop a broad range of skills, which has thus allowed me to deepen my understanding for our surrounding environments and it's inhabitants. Over the years, I have worked with a range of organisations and companies including: the Tralee Bay Wetlands Center, RTE - researcher and presenter of children’s wildlife program, Sea synergy, the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), and the Maherees Conservation Association.All of these organisations have focused on not only educating the public about the wonders of nature, but also encouraging all to be stewards of the environment & protecting it for generations to come. This is something I feel very strongly about & I believe that through educational experiences, people's eyes and minds can be opened to all of the wildlife and beauty that surrounds them in their daily settings.Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me!
