Work as a freelance researcher and policy analyst included: - Responsible for the development of a preliminary framework for European women's health which will support the EU Parliament’s Women’s Health Interest Group; incorporating evidence from policy mapping, existing legislation, strategies, political priorities, and input from European Parliament MEPS to create cross-cutting principles and pillars which include an intersectional and life course approach to policy development. - Co-leading research and policy analysis projects:“Towards EU Women’s Health Strategy?” conducting a comparative mapping and analysis of policies and national strategies/action plans across eight European countries."A Lifetime of Caring - Who Cares?" highlighting issues around unpaid care work and financial inequalities across the life course of women in Europe. - Research projects have been managed under tight timelines, controlling scope creep and budgets to deliver high-quality outcomes. - Additional administrative support involved grant proposals, project mapping and budgeting.

I co-led a key consultancy initiative to develop a policy paper and full research report focused on advancing economic equality in care. This was a gender-equality focused project, encompassing policy and lived experiences whilst incorporating the broader concept of the care economy and interdependency. I collaboratively managed and developed the research project to capture current debates and marginalised voices, developing clear recommendations for policy and practice in Ireland, informed by international best practices.As part of the research I managed the design, distribution and analysis of an online qualitative survey. Findings from multiple sources, including a human rights hearing on care were synthesised with survey data - to distill complex ideas into accessible formats for diverse audiences, ranging from politicians and policymakers to civil society groups.

Reporting to the Director of UCD Teaching & Learning Unit, I led the development of of an evidence-based institutional policy and framework for a new Academic Advising policy in UCD. I conducted a comprehensive literature review and international best practice study to inform the unit's approach to developing an new institution-wide policy. I designed and executed surveys to gather qualitative and quantitative data, generating valuable insights and actionable policy recommendations. Through consultation with stakeholders and synthesis of findings, I facilitated the creation of institutional policy guides aligned with international standards. My role involved creating delivering briefs, reports, and presentations to key stakeholders based on various stages of research and analysis, contributing to informed policy discussions and strategic decision-making.

I supported he production and launch of the "Next Steps for Teaching and Learning: Moving Forward Together" findings from a national sectoral partnership. Key responsibilities:- Qualitative & quantitative interview and survey analysis.- Reports capturing responses to the Covid-19 pandemic in higher level institutions across Ireland. - Managing large volumes of stakeholder data. - Co-ordinating and conducting remote interviews with key stakeholders.- Event planning and management of a hybrid event launching findings from a national partnership.- Content preparation for social media and online publications relating to events.

I contributed 8 EU country profiles for inclusion in a research report ‘Gender Equality:Economic Value of Care and Dedicated EU Funds.’ These profiles detailed: - Systems of Care in EU member states with a focus on Childcare and Long Term Care policies.- Policy gaps in a range of EU Member States with distinct care and welfare regimes.- Examples of best practice in policy to support gender equality in social policies.
