This was a gender-equality focused project, encompassing policy and lived experiences whilst incorporating the broader concept of the care economy and interdependency. I collaboratively managed and developed the research project to capture current debates and marginalised voices, developing clear recommendations for policy and practice in Ireland, informed by international best practices.As part of the research I managed the design, distribution and analysis of an online qualitative survey. Findings from multiple sources, including a human rights hearing on care were synthesised with survey data - to distill complex ideas into accessible formats for diverse audiences, ranging from politicians and policymakers to civil society groups. -
Educational Policy ConsultantUniversity College Dublin May 2021 - May 2022Reporting to the Director of UCD Teaching & Learning Unit, I led the development of of an evidence-based institutional policy and framework for a new Academic Advising policy in UCD. I conducted a comprehensive literature review and international best practice study to inform the unit's approach to developing an new institution-wide policy. I designed and executed surveys to gather qualitative and quantitative data, generating valuable insights and actionable policy recommendations. Through consultation with stakeholders and synthesis of findings, I facilitated the creation of institutional policy guides aligned with international standards.
