I have completed my Honours Undergraduate Degree in Zoology in University College Cork in 2023. I have been working as a barista in Cass&Co, Dungarvan since 2016. I was appointed the position of manager in September 2023 where I am delegated the role of ensuring the daily operations are carried out efficiently to provide a positive experience for both the customers and staff. My role involves focusing on managing the team, consulting with suppliers, managing inventory, and sustaining a pleasant atmosphere for the overall success of the business. My passion for working with animals and conservation has allowed me to gain valuable hands on experience through volunteer work. I volunteered at a baboon rehabilitation centre in South Africa for 5 weeks in 2022 where I developed a wide range of valuable skills. This involved safely caring for and handling a baby orphan baboon, monitoring the baboons welfare, communicating clearly with other team members, and carrying out the daily tasks of the organization.I also did volunteer work for two dairy farms in Ireland from 2012-2016. I have a diverse range of skills that involve the general tasks of farming and animal husbandry. I am seeking work within the field of Zoology, whether it’s through wildlife rehabilitation, research, conservation efforts, or working directly in animal care. I am interested in new opportunities to apply my knowledge and skills in an environment where I can make an impactful difference and continue to grow.
