Science Mixtape is a podcast which helps to communicate what some of the top scientific researchers in the UK are researching to the general public. As a producer, my job involves live tweeting during the show, promoting the show on instagram, twitter and facebook, and also helping set up and make sure all the recording equipment is working properly. It is aa interesting process getting to see what goes on behind the scenes of a podcast production, from chatting to the academic to editing the final version of the show. It's also extremely engaging, as a scientist, getting to talk to academics and learn about their very exciting research.
