As a merchandiser I was involved in the promotion of Cadbury goods to encourage sales through visual representation in stores. I executed merchandising and floor moves based on seasonal changes, business needs, and trends. In this role I had to provide customer service support to both end users and store managers.This job required quick thinking and creative flare in order to best promote the brand in individual stores. I gained experience in store specific planning and sales trends across multiple retail sites.

Based on my organisation and leadership skills the previous year, I was promoted to Assistant Manager on my return. As Assistant Manager of ATC Summer Camp in Rathdown I was responsible for the safekeeping of over 250 students and leaders. My daily tasks included liaising with parents, organising all activities and managing bookings, arrivals and departures. In this role I gained leadership and organisational skills as it was my task to motivate staff to perform to their best and ensure the smooth running of the camp.In this role I had a lot of responsibility to ensure the well-being and safety of the students.

In the role of Activity Leader my main function was to take care of a group of students aged 10-16. It was important to be professional and take leadership but also to provide a relaxed and happy environment for the group to work in.I identified quickly that this role required quick thinking and problem solving skills. It also improved my communication skills as I had to act as a mediator at times between students and teachers. In the role I relied on my creative abilities, as it was my responsibility to develop entertainment and build programmes around the students. This included running theatre workshops, arts and crafts, sporting activities as well as excursions.

Acted as an Activity Leader in Summer Camps across Germany where I planned and carried out activities such as sports and theatre as well as organising many different excursions. This role required both flexibility and adaptability when engaging with children.Dealing with students, management and parents gave me an opportunity to improve my German language skills.
