I’m a strategic comms and marketing director with over 20 years’ experience within the culture and creative, tourism and placemaking sectors. Positive, action-oriented and goal-focused, I love the challenge of starting with a blank sheet of paper and have a passion for projects that drive change and create social impact.I’ve spent over a decade in the Gulf across transformative cultural and destination-making initiatives, often in partnership with multiple stakeholders including government entities, tourism authorities, cultural institutions, property developers, and major hospitality and lifestyle brands. I've launched and managed several high-profile and complex cultural assets and placemaking projects in Saudi and the UAE. Recent projects include: the repositioning of Diriyah Season; the launch of At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site in Diriyah; Noor Riyadh festival, part of Riyadh Art place-making initiative; the Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai and Hayy Jameel in Jeddah; Art Dubai and Dubai Design Week. Prior to my years in the Middle East, I was based in London and worked globally across design and architecture, luxury retail and hospitality, building a reputation for leading teams to develop and deliver global marketing and communications strategies.Developer and real estate experience includes: Promenaden (Oslo); South Kensington Estates (London); Dacra (Miami); TECOM, Dubai Holding, Emaar (all Dubai); and Royal Commission of Riyadh City, Diriyah Gate Development Authority and Diriyah Company (Riyadh).
