This job involved working as part of a team in order to get all jobs assigned to the right tradesman, it required booking tradesmen diaries and trying to keep them in the same location to reduce travel time therefore they would have been able to get more jobs done more effectively and efficiently. It also required looking ahead as to what jobs are going out of date on a further date and making sure that have been done correct and if a particular job wasn’t booked out it needed to be booked out before the due date in order to get green KPI’s. With every part that came into the department there was a set piece of paperwork that must have be logged onto the company’s tracker system and once each part was leaving it also had to be booked out and have additional required paperwork with the part in order for it to be acceptable into Rockwell Collins. I worked alongside a Rockwell Collins buyer whom was the person that was requesting parts from Exact. This job required excellent communication skills along with organising skills as I consistently needed to know what parts were needed next and what contract would have been coming up next in order to feed this information back to floor as over-time may have been needed. This job also required me to have excellent time management skills as each delivery had to leave our premises at a certain time in order for it to arrive at our customer on time and in full. Furthermore I also carried out some company invoicing which involved using a Sage program.
