Driving the programme of work to achieve an end to homelessness in local areas of England, Scotland and Wales. My role was to lead the development of Built for Zero in the UK, an evidence based initiative designed in the US that supports communities to use data to change how their local homeless response systems work so they can bring about an end to homelessness.

My role was to review the way Frontline runs its academic programme and recommend strategies and approaches to enable it to adapt to its rapid growth and ensure it is providing the very best academic journey for the social workers of tomorrow.

Led the development and delivery of a long-term plan to end homelessness in Great Britain, the first of its kind in this country. Managed a diverse range of projects and brought the right experts together to gather all the evidence based policy and practice solutions that will bring about a permanent end to homelessness. Delivered on time and to the highest quality, and work is now underway to gain commitments from the three governments of England, Scotland and Wales to make it a reality.

Led the team responsible for the design and set up of 11 Crisis services across England, Scotland and Wales, transforming Crisis into a national organisation working with thousands of homeless people. Under my leadership, our remit expanded to include a programme of strategically important, change management projects with budgets ranging from £100k to £1.5m and which spanned the organisation, making a major contribution to the continuing growth and success of the organisation.

Managed the service design and set up of a £3m+ capital project in the city of Oxford and a new £1.5m Crisis service in the London Borough of Croydon. Both were complex, high risk, capital projects which demanded changes to the Crisis delivery model to best meet the needs of the homeless communities in each area.

I led my small team to deliver an income target of £2m each year though maximising on existing corporate relationships as well as seeking and securing new business. My team generated 40% growth in income from the Christmas Card Challenge, raising it from £600k to £1m; and acquired a new long-term corporate partnership worth £300k a year, which is still in place 10 years later and now invests £1m annually into Crisis’ education-based services.
