As Director of Media & Public Relations, I oversee the resort-casino's external facing communications through media and public outreach. Directing staff members in their specialties of internal clients and ensure high-level media projects are well-planned and executed, it's my goal to move Pechanga to an enhanced level of public awareness and visibility through our strategic and thoughtful campaign efforts. As Public Relations Manger for one of the United States' largest resort/casinos, Ciara has implemented and orchestrated a far-reaching PR plan that has achieved billions of reader and viewer impressions. Strategized and worked in concert with professionals across all company divisions including golf, entertainment, food and beverage, facilities, gaming, Tribal relations and more. Organized and conducted major media FAM trips and press conferences and other media events for golf, boxing, Muay Thai, food and beverage and for ethnic segments of the media. Procured high-level media placements in national magazines, broadcast, websites, blogs, newspaper. Planned and carried out extensive internal and external communications for the largest private employer in the county. Developed CSR campaigns that included extensive PR elements. Established full-scale press room on resort website, and added social media channels to resort's lineup of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Implemented new procedures and policies to streamline and enhance communication efforts. Planned and executed company-wide and public-facing CSR and special events including media partnerships with high-profile professional sports teams and celebrities. Increasing responsibilities in managing staff and interns. Planned Public Relations yearly budget and saved resort tens of thousands of dollars per year via careful research and improving efficiency. Acted as resort spokesperson. Manager of the year in 2014.
