Softball was my first love. I have played sports, primarily softball, since I was five-years-old. Through high school and college, I grew to not only have an intense passion for sports, but also a passion for coaching young children. As time passed, I watched it get more and more clear: I knew I needed to work with children in a recreational setting. Since then, I knew I needed to make sure that all children who wanted to participate in recreation and sports have the access that they deserve.I am an experienced recreation professional with a demonstrated history of working with children. I am a strong communicator with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Turfgrass Management from the University of Connecticut. I am a 2024 graduate of Clemson University with a Master of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with a concentration in Community Recreation and Sport Management. Developing an understanding of the influences recreation has on youth development, and identifying ways to use recreation as an avenue for positive development, is an essential component of my education and has only further fueled my passions.
