When growing up people are going to supermarkets full of sugar products. Almost 85% of supermarket products have sugar in them, and most of the time you will probably think you eating healthy... however, sugar comes in more than 55+ different aliases which will make you think there is no sugar in it.For example something we know today as an apple pie started out in Greek times 1304BC (without apple) and it was not so sweet and buttery as we know it today, they would put anything in the pie, Meat, tortes, fish... it was not till somewhere in the 1500s in Britain an apple pie popped up.It was not even made with sugar as at that time sugar was scares. In the 1800s Apple pie traveled to the US and then sugar was added as the US started to refine sugar making it common and cheap. Looking at an apple pie today on your plate you just know the apple pie as that nice sugary pie, however, once you know the origin of the food you start to have questions, Say if sugar never became cheap? Would we now still be eating pies without sugar? its evolution of food in centuries and we are now at a stage that sugar is put in nearly all products just because it sells well, and not for your health benefits.Sometimes I fantasize about a supermarket that is actually SUPER with food products that really benefit our health.
