Assistant General Counsel
As Assistant General Counsel at the Irish Branch of AIG’s UK authorised MiFID investment firm, I advised AIG Europe on all legal and regulatory aspects of the asset management industry applicable to its business. In particular I supported AIG Europe’s Portfolio Management and Global Capital Markets teams on day to day issues and a wide variety of special projects. Some of my more regular duties included the negotiation of ISDA documentation with various counterparties, advising on regulatory matters such as the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and its impact on the business and the drafting and negotiation of investment management agreements.
