- Working for ATLAS within Production Engineering supporting integration and testing activities in the predominantly virtualised Defence Model Office environment- Overall responsibility for the Radia infrastructure across the corporate integration, pre-production and maintenance environments as well as test harnesses, also managing the monthly patching cycle of all servers and desktops- Daily tasks include investigation of environmental issues, identification of packaging errors, carrying out infrastructure upgrades, ensuring successful deployment of OS, patch and software updates. Delegation of tasks such as package and metadata imports and acting as a point of escalation for any issues- Ensuring environments adhere to latest baselines and assisting with complex builds such as clusters, successfully built out new maintenance environment for critical releases

- Working within the ATLAS consortium consolidating 200+ legacy IT systems into a single platform for the MoD as part of the Defence Information Infrastructure project; my role was to successfully manage the complex migration of user, email and group data to DII- Initially in the position of Site Lead & Specialist Support for the west region I led some of the largest and most complex UK migrations including Fleet HQ and Land Forces HQ receiving excellent customer feedback. Subsequently led a number of overseas migrations in Cyprus, Brunei and Belgium before being given sole responsibility for the migration of sites in North America- Required to ensure all aspects of the data migration process were completed within agreed timescales and standards, the role involved presentation and planning activities, liaising with other workstreams and providing regular updates to the customer- In addition to acquiring excellent implementation and project management knowledge during the complex 34 week-per-element migration process I was also required to carry out all relevant technical aspects such as NTFS data discovery, data restructuring, configuration of tooling, export of data from legacy systems and import into DII

- Working on the ASPIRE contract for HMRC my role involved the management of EDM and then latterly Radia infrastructure in 20+ NT domains and 10 XP domains supporting the live estate of over 100,000 users and a number of test environments- Key aspects included the installation, configuration and support of EDM and Radia components, troubleshooting delivery issues, maintaining the infrastructure, importing, piloting, synchronising and testing packages for deployment, analysing MSI logs- Whilst in this role I completed the CapGemini ASPIRE graduate programme, demonstrating my ability in a number of core skills valued by the industry

- As part of the Domain Management Team my role involved the management of approx. 350 physical servers and 500 workstations across 30 test domains- Key aspects included the installation and build of servers including DCs, application servers and FAPs. Maintaining security and working to the requirements of testers and developers to create environments for testing of in-house software and COTS products- Deputy Team Leader role involved planning, delegation of work, impacting and ensuring strict lifecycle and release deadlines were adhered to

- Working on the Desktop Services team providing first line support to approx. 4000 users across a number of sites in Telford- Daily tasks included carrying out workstation builds/rebuilds using Norton Ghost, hardware rollout, networking/patching, manual installation and configuration of software- Customer focussed role demanded excellent verbal communication skills
