Coordinating logistics and accreditation processes on site of NHS Surge hospital build in March and June in Ashford, Leicester, Bristol and Preston. This included daily covid testing, orchestrating badging system and liaising with project manager and helping the project manager with any other tasks.

I worked in these roles full time. As security I was required to open and close the historical buildings on site at the start and the end of the day as well as clean them. I also approached visitors on arrival welcoming them and seeing if they have used our booked online as we need details for track and trace. I also worked as a costumed historical interpreter in the recreated 1730s township and 1930s school in period appropriate clothing and gave visitors and insight into highland life.

I currently worked here and have worked here on and off (part-time and full-time) during seasonal periods whilst I was at high school and during university. I worked part time as a casual education facilitator at various locations round Manchester. The main location is at the Greater Manchester Police Museum where I helped facilitate workshops designed by the NJM and give tours to school groups around the museum’s exhibits.

Here I undertook duties normally expected at any café, bar or food outlet which included working behind the bar, maintaining and cleaning the hall, waiting food and working in the kitchen.

This was a voluntary position. At this museum I acted as a tour guide most Tuesdays during my postgraduate degree. I would take visitors and groups around the museums exhibits and the mock trench as well as helping customers and visitors to the best of my ability. I also worked as an education volunteer where I took primary school groups around our exhibits and the trench teaching them about WW1/WW2 through workshops. I was required to deliver market-leading service with a smile, prepare and serve food to the highest standards and build a rapport with customers. The duties included preparing and serving hot food and drinks, maintaining a clean workspace, preparing food in the kitchen for both customers and the partners dining room and working in in the dishwashing unit. This customer focused position had me communicating with diverse groups of people and greatly improved my ability to work in a team.
