I got involved in a virtual internship with Speedwork’s who are a well-recognised set of coaches that specialise in improving speed development within professional sport. Within this internship I learned how to understand the Kinetics and Kinematics of Speed development and the use of different software’s such as kinovea and Binary in tracking speed development. Understand how to perform Speed, acceleration, and plyometric movements. Understanding the programming of these movements with the understanding of why certain movements are programmed and understanding the Key performance indicators of Sprinting and acceleration development.

This included Drilling GPS data for the academy teams from under 21’s to Under 13’s including matches, training, Rehab sessions and GK sessions. Carrying out and helping with Strength and conditioning sessions across all age groups. Carrying out Warmups with the focus at the end of each warmup in improving Speed, acceleration, deceleration, and agility development across all age groups. Carrying out and preparing nutrition for the players before training, after training and for match days. Preparing GPS pods, vests, and heart rate straps for the players. Being able to use Wy scout and Hudl. Setting up a Veo, digital camera for training and matches and being able to live code during matches.

Assessing, planning and organising training for numerous clients to help them achieve their health and fitness goals. Instructing and advising clients on how to use equipment and assisting through multiple gym classes such as spinning, HIT and circuits.
