I implement best practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security, thereby enhancing our analytical capabilities.Data Visualisation: I create compelling data visualisations to communicate intricate data in a comprehensible manner to management and cross-functional teams. This aids in data-driven decision-making processes and provides a shared understanding of metrics across departments.Resource Optimisation: Recognising the value in reusability, I identify opportunities to leverage existing data flows across different teams. This streamlines operations and promotes efficiency within the organisation.Data Roadmap Management: I own and manage the data roadmap, which includes identifying new data integrations and tooling opportunities. Work as part of a dynamic development team tasked with the development of new software platforms and maintenance of SDKs for the IBM Cloud Object Storage (COS) platform. These public SDKs include Java, Python, Node.js, GO and command line interfaces. I also lead a small Agile development team that is responsible for creating sample applications and documentation to support the SDKs.Working with as part of a team to migrate their data into a centralised place and create Power BI reports. Work with the stakeholders to gather requirements. ETL from several systems into Azure Data Storage services using Azure Data Factory & T-SQL. Data ingestion to Azure Data Lake & Azure SQL. Creating Pipelines in ADF. Creating stored procedures & views. Key member of a team tasked with the creation and development of the AWS backend platform. I implemented a ‘server less’ architecture using API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB and deployed AWS Lambda code from an Amazon S3 bucket. I created a Lambda deployment function, and configured it to receive events from the S3 bucket. This was then used by the frontend application to display the information from the DynamoDB to the users.Power BI development for customers, during these projects I was responsible for data visualization and modelling, data querying (SQL, DAX), Data warehousing and analytics, ETL (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and CI/CD principlesWork as part of a team testing current and new features for IBM’s notification system. These tests are run using Python scripts. It was my job to perform system, unit, performance, load, regression, stress and data interface testing. Provided client developer teams with detailed reports on quality metrics, identified bugs/flaws and recommended fixes.Responsible for carrying out manual and automated testing on various projects along with implementing automated testing for various customers. I then documented the process for the customer and carried out demos with stakeholders.

Having spent just over a year dealing with all the internal systems, I was appointed as a Software Developer. I continued carrying out the same tasks as I had been doing, but I have taken on more responsibility in terms of dealing with more customers and projects. I began developing and maintaining several reporting systems including Sales Portal and Stock Portal that could be accessed internally and externally. These systems connect with the IBM iSeries system and is used by various customers and employees on a daily basis, so I regularly test the security of all the systems. I have been appointed as Project Manager for several projects which I enjoy as it allows me to deal with customers from the start to the final sign off or continued support. As I am a developer I tend to do a lot of the development work when possible. Projects include the design and implementation of a virtual receptionist and way finding systems in shopping centres. I am currently involved with the creation of a Data Warehouse were I am working on all phases of data warehouse development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to testing, implementation, and support.I am also a part of the IOT team which implement network and software solutions for various customers including schools, manufacturing companies and shopping centres. I deal with various technologies on a daily basis to provide a soloution for the customer.

I was appointed the position of Internal Systems Developer after one year in the graduate scheme. During this time, I moved to MJ Flood Technology under a TUPE agreement. My main jobs are developing new systems and maintaining systems that are already in place. ColdFusion was main programming language used throughout the business but I would use various languages, depending on the project specification of each project. As well as developing new systems I carried out the implementation and training of several software packages including Sugar CRM and Outlook. I also provided support for software packages including the Time Management and Payroll Systems. The main projects that I that I carried out was the implementation and customisation of the Invoice / Credit Note / Statement management system and Accident reporting portal.

I joined the Quinn Group under a three year graduate scheme. My main tasks involved carrying out an audit around all the different manufacturing divisions that we supported to get a better understanding of the systems and provide up-to-date documentation on all the systems. After completing the audit my main duty was to carry out testing and create on the IBM iSeries that was implemented around all the divisions. I also provided cover for the service desk were I got experience with various software including Active Directory, Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office.

Having worked as a barman for over 5 years, I became an experienced member of staff and was been given additional responsibilities including; Key holder responsible for opening and closing premises, operating security systems, delegating tasks to other members of staff, Calculating the daily takings and working as a member of a team.
