My role formed part of the wider IGHN Student Outreach strategy which allows students to contribute to new and innovative ideas, helping ensure that the IGHN is meeting student needs, and providing members with opportunities and connections in the global health field. I played a key role in collaborating with students from across the island of Ireland to coordinate outreach events and develop a national strategy for research involvement. I sat on the organising committee for the IGHN International Conference; Healthy People on a Healthy Planet, held in collaboration with research, government, and NGO partners from across the island of Ireland.
