Experienced in remote bush regeneration across Victoria and habitat restoration within the Mornington Peninsula, Bachelor of Environmental Science (Environmental Management and Sustainability) at Deakin University ambition to promote sustainable solutions to environmental issues within Australia, and maybe with enough success, within the Australasian region.I have brought together my past experiences in data analysis and civil construction to coexist with my passion with the natural environment and the outdoors. Applying my skills to complete environmental restoration works to key sensitive ecosystems throughout Victoria including vegetation protection in alpine peatlands within the Alpine National Park and threatened fauna habitat revegetation within the Victorian Volcanic Plains Grasslands.My experiences have predominantly focused on increasing the quality and biodiversity of the flora within sites, although I have also completed waterway assessments, assessing the health and quality of key bodies of water within Melbourne, and fauna assessments via use of a range of fauna trapping techniques such as harp traps, fauna cameras, echolocation and drop/elliot traps.My future aspirations are to continue to work within sensitive ecological areas and sustainable urban development, where I believe I can make the most impact and strive to achieve tangible goals.A firm believer in engaging with the community and learning from all those who will allow it, if you want to know more about me or the projects I am currently working on, send me a message or reach out at crn.oconnor@outlook.com
