This role involved;• 3D modeling of sheet metal products.• Working closely with the fabrication team, producing workshop drawings and performing quality control checks on finished work.• Producing quotations for sheet metal products, estimating production times, staffing requirements and other related costs.Some Highlight Projects;• Liaising with architect, artist and site foreman on The Museum of Free Derry (a landmark site in Northern Ireland) to realize a feature wall design consisting of large artistic steel panels and support frame structure.• Lead engineer liaising with medical device clientele, delivering fine tolerance machinery components.• Representing Welditz Ltd. at local engineering enterprise-board meetings.• Surveying and designing replacement components for discontinued quarry machinery as part of a maintenance contract.

• Employed under Intertrade Irelands Fusion Graduate Programme, to design, manufacture and bring to market an aluminum-hulled rib craft lifeboat for the on-going fleet replacement of current category D-class vessels, for use by the Irish Coast Guards and other search and rescue services across Ireland and the United Kingdom.• While working (full time) I also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Management at Queens University Belfast (part-time) as part of the Fusion Graduate Programme.

I worked in the tire building department of Goodyear Aviation for four months as part of a summer Intership which I attained at the end of my engineering studies at I.T.Carlow.
