Academic Consultant neurosurgeon/Honorary Associate Professor with a subspeciality focus on neurosurgical oncology. I also manage general neurosurgical conditions of the brain and spine. I completed my medical and Neurosurgical training in London. I hold a PhD in Molecular Neurobiology from the University of Cambridge (Jesus College) and completed subspeciality training with an Academic Clinical Lectureship in Neuro-Oncology at Queen Square and the UCL Cancer Institute. I am trained in the full range of modern neurosurgical oncology practice including advanced mapping and surgical techniques. I hold a research interest in the fundamental biology and translation in neuro-oncology. My academic goals are to gain new insights into fundamental molecular mechanisms and rapidly translate these to patient care, build collaborative research networks that foster academic-clinical integration, and support clinicians wishing to contribute to research.
