Leading on the delivery of the Digital that Delivers programme, a key strategic pillar in Fáilte Ireland’s corporate strategy developed to transform Irish Tourism’s online experience and digital distribution capabilities.

My role as Business Development Officer is to support an increase in overseas leisure holidaymakers through the delivery of B2B opportunities, identification of channel partners and conversion of new buyer’s & opportunities for Ireland.Achievements:• Managed online travel agent (OTA) campaigns with Expedia & Lastminute.com and metasearch campaigns with TripAdvisor & Kayak that have delivered over 12,000 incremental bednights from the GB market.• Created and delivered joint activity plans with Tourism Ireland Germany generating in excess of 20,000 bedights to date and providing 5 sales platforms annually for Irish tourism trade • Devised and implemented a new Client Relationship Management (CRM) solution for the business development team to effectively trace and develop all leads and opportunities in the sales pipeline.• Key account manage 18 industry stakeholders annually including the Irish Golf Tour Operators Association, golf marketing groups and online travel agents• Project manage the successful delivery of 8 in market golf B2B sales platforms and 2 domestic consumer platforms annually• Created a suite of online sales supports tools, including video content, based on consumer insights to enhance engagement with tour operators

My role as Events Officer was to project manage the professional delivery of key events within Fáilte Ireland’s portfolio ensuring optimum experience for attendees and the organisation.Achievements:• Led the establishment of a dedicated Fáilte Ireland events office, creating an events strategy for the organisation and developing resources to manage the delivery of events• Successfully project managed 30+ events including conferences, business breakfast briefings, B2B networking events and unique social events• Introduced new event technology to all Fáilte Ireland events vastly improving audience interaction and participation and enhancing the organisation’s corporate reputation• Proactively engaged with 3rd party suppliers and implemented a structured system of monitoring and controls resulting in significant cost savings for the organisation

The role of the Dublin Convention Bureau, a business tourism unit of Fáilte Ireland, is to promote Dublin as a world class conference destination.Achievements:• I was the key contributor to successfully securing 65 international corporate meetings which have thereby delivered an estimated economic benefit of over €18.2 million to the local economy.• Successfully secured 12 large association conferences, beating off stiff competition from other European and international cities. These conferences delivered an economic benefit of circa €8.2 million to the local economy.• Implemented a partnership with Cvent, an online meeting and venue finding service, which resulted in a 167% increase in conference leads generated for Dublin through this platform.• I carried out several trade promotions to USA, Spain, France, Germany and the UK promoting Dublin’s business tourism product, building relationships with key clients and converting conference leads to subsequent business won for Dublin.

Following a needs-based evaluation I founded a community mental health charity, Connect Mental Health, in January 2015 to raise awareness of mental health issues and improve access to and awareness of Mental Health Services in South Donegal.Achievements:• Developed a brand identity, vision and business plan and recruited a strong executive committee• Planned and co-ordinated programme of events which to date have reached over 3,500 people• Championed the use of digital techology to drive attendance at workshops and events• Launched connectmentalheath.ie delivering educational video content, expert articles on mental health issues and an online directory of mental health services • Successfully secured over €100,000 in funding for the delivery of our strategy• The HSE appointed me to the implementation steering group for Connecting for Life Donegal, Donegal’s Suicide Prevention Strategy 2015 – 2020• Invited by the Ceann Comhairle, Seán Ó Fearghaíl TD, to participate as a panellist in the Parliamentary Forum on Mental Health on 19 September 2017 in Dublin Castle
