I was responsible for supporting the Corporate and Commercial team at BHW Solicitors. I ensured that clients files were kept compliant, took notes on calls and meetings, updated statutory books, incorporating companies and various other legal duties.

I supported the BHW Management Team and supervised our risk management. Risk and compliance is hugely important for any law firm so it's imperative that everything is up to scratch. I ensured that we had complete and regular file reviews, staff training where it was needed, health and safety compliance and everything covered for the HR operations.

I joined EHL as an apprentice in July 2014 after studying Law at college and working as a Family Law assistant at another law firm. I worked in the corporate department and have knowledge over a range of legal areas.My main role was to ensure that compliance and correct procedure was followed for Corporate, Commercial Property and Commercial Litigation cases to ensure that client care was kept to an excellent standard.

My time was split between 50% Computer Repair/ Computer Building and 50% Shop Management. During this time I learned a lot about how a high street store operates and learnt new skills in computing.
