As an alum of the PYPP and current Executive Director, my work focuses on providing overall leadership of the Management team to ensure continuity and sustainability as well as nationwide expansion of the program. Serving two Ministers of Foreign Affairs under two different regimes, I managed the day-to-day operations of the office of the Minister of the Republic of Liberia for three years. My role also included liaising with government ministries and agencies and 26 Liberian diplomatic missions abroad as well as mission accredited near Monrovia. In this position, I witnessed firsthand the peaceful political transition from one democratic government to another in Liberia for the first time in 73 years.

As an Alumni of the institute of Social Studies, I am an Ambassador even without the official title. In this position, I liaised with alumni in Liberia as well as prospective students. I hosted a network meeting of all Liberians who graduated from universities in the Netherlands that included former and current minister, legislator, professor and civil society leader.

I supported the Permanent Mission of Liberia to the United Nations in New York, USA while I collected data for my MA Research Project on "Youth and the Post 2015 Development Agenda: An Analysis of Youth Participation in Designing the Sustainable Development Goals.”My support included attending meetings, drafting letters and statements.

With support from the President's Young Professionals Program and the United Nations Foundation, I joined the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Liberia to the United Nations. In this role, I covered issues related to the Post 2015 Development Agenda. This was in the early stages of negotiations for the Sustainable Development Goals when Her Excellency President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was part of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon's High Level Panel on Post 2015. In my role, I attended weekly panel co-chairs meetings at technical team level, tracked events and meetings at the UNHQ, and drafted reports to send to home office. Drafted the Ambassador's briefing to the General Assembly after the High Level Panel Meeting in Monrovia in February 2013. I participated in the negotiations of the Open working Group on Sustainable Development Goals providing analysis of countries statements and drafting Liberia's statements. Show less
