Mike is the current director of Advanced Technologies in CIC Latam, with more than 27 years of experience in cyberpublic safety and prolific work in cybercriminology. His professional work has been deployed in social innovation and the prevention of crime by the use of technology and controlled cyber environments. He is a co-founder of the Center for Cybercrime Investigation and Cybersecurity (Center for CIC) at Boston University, of the International Observatory of Computer Crime (INTOCC), founder of the Research Network of Cybercriminology and Digital Security (RedCiber), current member of Gesellschaft für interdisziplinäre wissenschaftliche Kriminologie (GiwK), of the Chaos Computer Club (CCC), and honorary member of the Cyberthinking Tank (TCP-IP), amongst others.His academic work allowed him to write the first Spanish book about cybercriminology (Cibercriminología: Guía para la investigación del cibercrimen y mejores prácticas en seguridad digital - Cybercriminology: Guide for Cybercrime Investigation and Best Practices in Digital Security.
