I am currently an English teacher at a Charter school in Dallas. I have my certification in English Language Arts and Reading 7-12 and Special Education EC-12. Previously, I have worked at Neighborhood Development Center as the Training Department Administrator with a touch of Communications/Social Media. I coordinate Entrepreneur Training Program where NDC partners with community-based organizations to provide culturally sensitive entrepreneur training programs for low-income residents who do not have access to traditional sources of capital and want to learn the skills to successfully start and operate a business. This core program is currently offered twice each year, in five languages.I also coordinated the Free Business Workshops that are held at Rondo library in St. Paul. I assisted the Communications department sending E-Newsletters, updating Social Media, and the website. Prior to that, I was a Community Partnership Specialist with Girls Scouts River Valleys where I facilitated Girl Scout groups, located and secured future sites and engaged volunteers in various aspects of Girl Scouts. I received my Master's of Educational Leadership through Concordia University online in June 2012. I work with the youth department at Refuge Christian Center. I work with the curriculum, help plan events and activities. I completed the Leadership Training Program and now the Church Office Administrator.I have experience planning and leading service learning projects for the youth. Also, plan and lead leadership development sessions for the youth more specifically young ladies. I write out of school program curriculum and can be contracted to write them for others.Specialties: Community engagement and support, project and event planning and execution, outreach and securing volunteers.
