Outreach management responsibilities include running an outreach team that goes door to door recruiting new education advocates, educating communities on issues and acquiring petition signatures. Other responsibilities include writing curriculum, teaching educational classes to parents and bringing parents and other concerned community members to the table with education decision makers. Communications manager responsibilities include posting on Facebook, tweeting and writing e-newsletters.

Outreach supervisor responsibilities include running an outreach team of eight that goes door to door or makes calls, writing scripts, cutting turf, scheduling and payroll. This means preparing materials beforehand before outreach shifts, going out on turf with the team or on the phones and reporting outcomes.

Taught nutrition classes out in the community to low-income Missourians. Worked with adults ranging in age from 16 to 100 and provided an interactive approach that encouraged participants to make healthier choices and realistic lifestyle changes. Responsibilities included marketing for classes, finding venues and clients, shopping and preparing food, organizing materials and handouts, and teaching the Eating Smart Being Active curriculum.

Operated a four star, Qualistar rated early childhood educational facility, with up to twelve children a day ranging in age from one to five years. Services included home visits, parent-teacher conferences, newsletters, portfolios, and organic meals with flexibility for dietary needs. With a four to one ratio the students enjoyed an enriching, educational setting, influenced by the Reggio Emilia Approach and Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory.

Ran a mobile art program that provided art activities to schools, playgroups and birthdays for children ranging in age from one to seven. Taught art classes to small groups of children ranging in age from three to seven years on the weekends out of a local school.

Worked with sixteen classes ranging in age from six weeks to six years introducing and exploring a wide variety of materials from paint to clay and wood. In addition other responsibilities included: teacher conference preparation, school presentations, documentation and organization of school wide community events and projects, facilitation of parent meetings, and consultation to teachers on aspects of the Reggio Emilia approach, from classroom environment and management, to curriculum development.
