Hi, my name is Alcides, but my friends call me Cid. I’m Portuguese and 35 years old. Designer by degree (and vocation), I'm passionate about life, sport, and nature. A characteristic? Perfectionist. One word? Serenity.As a kid I wanted to be rich... I found out later that it wasn’t a profession, and I went the other way, Design. I went to Lusófona University and stayed there for 5 years. I graduated in Communication Design, and it was obvious that it was what I dreamed to be.And then what? Then I came down to earth, to be more exact to Terradesign, my first job. Some of them bore fruit of excellence, and others bore fruit I'm proud of.9 years later I moved to Plum, a start-up company that helped to grow and where I learned to be self-sufficient, to deal with clients, to manage and put into practice.I was good and bad creative. I listened to thousands of songs for inspiration. It worked more than it failed. I often felt accounts were inefficient, but many more times I recognized their merit. Many times, I got it right, but I learned a lot more from my mistakes. But "life is like riding a bicycle, to keep the balance you have to keep moving" (Albert Einstein), take risks, look for new opportunities and continue to be growing.What am I skilled at? I know how to handle a computer and half a dozen programs, as well as apply a few concepts such as creative strategy, brand value, visual identity, advertising, rebranding, corporate and product communication, above and below the line, social media creativity.
