As an Associate at Paul Simons Associates, I have represented the City of Bath on the European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA), where I was responsible for developing and maintaining the Association's Facebook Page, "Thermal Travels" which promotes the members of the Association and the European Route of Historic Thermal Towns, a Council of Europe-ratified Cultural Route. In 2012 I wrote a bid on behalf of EHTTA to the European Culture fund. The bid was successful, and the 400,000 euro "Source" project (Sources of Culture: the Cafes of Europe) is now running. I organised the final event in the project, in Bath in March 2015, including a major conference, cultural experiences, walking/thematic tours, conference documentation, and delegate management!In 2005 - I organised a number of events for the NHTG (National Heritage Training Group) for Paul Simons Associates.

As Communications Manager for EHTTA and the European Route of Historic Thermal Towns, I was responsible for updating written communications and brochures, social media, website and new brochure, while ensuring that all members were kept up to date with the activities of the Association. I developed the Communications and Tourism strategies for the organisation, in conjunction with a small committee, and worked with a small Task Force on day to day issues.I was also called upon to carry out "native reviews" of the Association's communications to ensure that they were in well-written English.I was very proud to have written and produced the Association's brochure, and to have been able to include some of my own photographs!

My role in the company was to develop press and publicity for the Retreats, and to manage social media. Sophrology means “the science of the mind in harmony”. Created in Spain in 1960 by a neuro-psychiatrist, it is a life-balancing technique aiming at an alert mind in a relaxed body. At the crossroads between Western relaxation and Eastern meditation, it is simple and does not require complicated postures or large amounts of time each day. It is also very flexible and adapts to the person’s needs with tailor-made programmes. A bit like a super-charged, super-fast meditation where you use both your body and your mind to learn to feel better.
