I interviewed Ukrainian survivors in Bucha and Irpin, including a single mother who lost her home and is now living in cramped shelters. I reported on displaced Ukrainians from Zaporizhzhia and consulted experts on nuclear plant safety, economic, and agricultural losses.March 2023: In Seoul, Korea, I covered the forced-labor disputes between Korea and Japan, as well as protests in Korea as President Yoon Suk Yeol seeks to repair relations with Japan to pave the way for a three-way alliance with Japan and the U.S.August 2023: I covered Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visits to Singapore and Cambodia as he sought to strengthen relations with Southeast Asian neighbors and Cambodia's new leader Hun Manet.October-November 2023: I covered the Israel-Hamas war from Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and West Bank cities. I reported on the aftermath of the massacre at kibbutz Kfar Aza and Sderot bordering Gaza and delved deep into Jenin refugee camp to get exclusive stories on Palestinian teenagers killed in Israeli drone attacks. I interviewed survivors of the 10.07 massacre, families of hostages, Palestinians living under increasingly tightened Israeli control in West Bank cities, and foreign nationals who survived or were casualties of the conflict.
