· While working for the LOVAAS Center, I was taught how to be a more efficient leader, with vital communication skills. · I tutored children who were diagnosed with autism. I worked with kids separately at their homes, and primarily worked with them on paying attention, having proper people skills, behavior, and memory. · Within this position, I communicated with the other tutors by filling out the proper data and paperwork for the child that day, in order to decide if they could advance to a higher task or not. · I learned how to properly discipline when one of my kids became violent, or could not follow the rules.· Proper communication was an important trait to have for this position, with the tutors, the parents, and especially with the children; for if I was to speak incorrectly with a kid, they could become confused, and go off track.
