As a novice elementary school teacher, I bring to the table my following teaching commitments:1) a passion for collaborating with others to create a strong community that promotes inclusivity, creativity, and teamwork2) a reflective nature with a growth mindset that seeks to remain open-minded to innovation, change, and feedback from others3) patience, adaptability, and resilience when faced with challenges 4) a leadership style that is reflective and equitable, sees each individual as valuable members, cares for their well-being, and brings a team together by affirming their strengths and uniting for a common cause5) a unique cross-cultural perspective as a Chinese-American adoptee that allows me to understand the complexity between the intersections of one’s identity, culture, and race. 6) continuous curiosity, empathy, and love of learning about different cultures, peoples, languages, faiths, and ways of life
