As a Family Partner with STRONG Families, I work with families in Carter County to address their health and social needs, connect them with appropriate resources and services, and live life alongside them through family coaching. I have a passion for community outreach, service, and organizing, and I aim to make a positive impact on the lives of the people I serve.I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I focus on policy development and implementation. I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree from East Tennessee State University, where I was a Roan Scholar and a recipient of the 1911 Society. I have also completed the Emerging Leaders Institute and the Child and Youth Care Workers programs, and self-published a children's book to promote early childhood literacy. I have special interests and experience in substance abuse recovery services, homeless services, and family coaching. I have traveled to Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic to broaden my perspective and learn from other cultures. I am always open to collaboration and learning opportunities, so feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to connect.
