Responsible for identifying key issues and recommending appropriate courses of action in review of draft legislation, testimony, and policies.• Analyzed and interpreted proposed legislation to reauthorize the Workforce Investment Act, eventually leading to the passing of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). • Responsible for coordinating the legislative analysis, planning, and implementation of WIOA and the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011 (VOW Act). • Spearheaded the implementation of several VOW Act Initiatives such as an inter-agency Veterans Retraining Assistance Program.
