In 2002 Cihan started to work in Generali Information Technologies as junior software developer, where he followed different IT projects for the Generali Holding.He joined BSI in 2004 and until 2012 his role was asset management risk and performance controller. His first activity was to report to the head of risk controller the institutional clients risk and performance, then these activities were extended to the funds and centralized mandates products. In 2009 he was assigned the team leader role, and his new activities were to lead the team and support the senior managers with ad-hoc analysis. The unit main tasks were to monitor the asset management products and to make easier the daily activities of the asset management department. In 2012 he joined the quantitative unit of the asset management department as a head of the unit. His main activity has been delivery portfolio optimization for the whole bank. In addition, he supports the private banking units, by handling quantitative analysis, on investment decisions.Cihan has been involved in different bank projects, in particular he supported the senior managers and Boston Consulting consultants during the acquisition of the Banca del Gottardo, where he became the responsible of the Asset Management Control Unit. Then, he assisted the CIO on different confidential topics. He was the responsible for testing and enhancing the performance engine in the new bank core IT system (Avaloq). He was in the decision-making team on how to implement the MiFID process in the bank.
