I started my education, and career path with the intention of working within Development, specialising in Anti-Trafficking. This lead me to discover trauma-informed care practises, that then introduced me to the community services sector. Community services appeared to be the perfect intersection between my theoretical knowledge around social, political, economic realities and practical evidenced-based community centred support. I wanted to actualise the motto I learnt within my Bachelor's, which was to 'think globally, act locally'. The global problems we see within the study of development are home grown issues from echoes of colonial interruptions and generational trauma in many cases. I now offer close to one years worth of case management experience with a qualification in Community Services, with an International Development background. I have always been self-directed in my learning and take great pleasure to study philosophy, psychology, human behaviour and world religion's. It allows we to have an open mind and live a compassionate way of life. I am looking to extend my eclectic set of skills and knowledge to domestic and family violence, homelessness and youth work sector.
