Currently working as a tier 1 and tier 2 IT Tech at Lamar Community College. The IT team at LCC has only 2 members, myself and the Director, which simply means I help fix most issues on campus. I have gotten along well with everyone at LCC and most, if not all of the college’s employees, have a positive opinion of myself and my work. A lot has happened at the college in the 3+ years that I’ve been here and I’ve been lucky enough to help with every IT project. I was in charge of installing a new security system in the dorms on our campus and expanded storage which allowed the college to archive videos for a month versus a week when comparing to our old system. I helped install a new WiFi infrastructure in our dorms as well. This included pulling cable into each dorm room, terminating the cable, initializing and configuring Aruba 305 access points, installing 3 new switches and terminating cables on that end as well. I then installed and managed the new access points and created a new network connection that was made for the occupants of said dorms. After that I helped migrate the college to a new domain that is managed by the Colorado community college systems. I’ve installed new computers in classrooms and offices; also installed new SSDrives into devices as needed. I helped create and install a windows 10 enterprise image for classrooms and offices. I set up Cisco IP telephones using Citirix, create/manage users accounts using Microsoft management console, and install new software or hardware. I have many more responsibilities and can gladly expand on them when speaking to an employer but, the ones above seems like the most important to mention.
