While doing so, I create process maps and write best practice guides. The Supply Chain Team at J.F. Ahern was relatively new, so a lot of my time was spent building relationships and developing processes which help work flow in an efficient manner. The Postal Solutions Department was a fast-paced area that started with just a few people, and expanded to 12 people within my time there. In addition to interpreting contract language, and understanding production processes, I was responsible to prepare accurate invoices upon completion of work for a given set of clients. The invoices were generated manually in Excel, and ranged from $2,000 to $10,000,000 each. Needless to say, my attention to detail was extremely important! In addition, I evaluated recovery levels and looked for areas of improvement at a job and account level. To accomplish these goals, I interacted every day with all levels of management as well as production staff. This was also a customer facing role where I spoke with clients about invoicing questions on a daily basis.
