Early Intervention Occupational Therapist
CurrentI am currently working to provide support and early intervention Occupational Therapy (OT) services to families with children aged 0-3 years. We use a DIR floortime, family centered approach to problem solve solutions for issues that are affecting children as they are on their journey along their developmental continuum. Socially, with engagement and initiation, sensory based, interacting with a variety of textures, weights, sizes, and shapes of objects which is part of the foundation for pre-academic abilities including math, scissors use, executive functioning, organization, developing, planning and executing a project idea individually or with a group and writing/keyboarding abilities. Eating and sleeping well are essential foundation building blocks to a child's success and often need solutions within the family framework. These are provided as well, using a variety of theories, research and evidenced based best practice.
