Started my career at DataQuick over 16 years ago as a Programmer Analyst on the Product Development Team. Responsibilities included enhancing several legacy Tandem Mainframe products still in existence today. One year later, fast tracked to Project Leader heading up a major conversion project to convert the majority of our enscribe COBOL files to relational SQL databases. Also lead the development of several large-scale on-line real estate products. Two years later, promoted to Team Leader of the Database and On-line Support Team. At the time, the team consisted of 4 support programmers whose main function was to support the on-line products and the 25 million record real estate database. As we expanded our database geographically to compete with the national market, my role grew. We added a group of 10 Data Research Analysts whose main function is to load and update the now 86 million record database and resolve Problem reports. The support programming staff also grew from 4 to 9 associates. Approximately 8 years ago my role expanded to lead the Recorders Database Development & Support which grew from 1 to 3 associates. Team functions include recorder's database expansion and updates, writing match algorithms, production support and problem solving. Successfully completed the implementation of a major Y2K data and source code conversion project. Took leadership responsibility of a major conversion effort from the Tandem mainframe to a PC based client/server platform. Technologies included: MS Suite, MS SQL 7.0/2000, Data Junction 7.0/Data Integrator 8.0, Fujitsu COBOL, Visual Source Safe, SyncSort and some Visual BASIC GUI applications.
