I organized and implemented (with a Steering Committee) the programming that led our Older Adult program to receive affiliate status as SAGE Central Virginia with SAGE USA. I coordinated all community outreach activities, forming relationships with organizations and individuals both within the LGBTQIA community as well as with "mainstream" organizations. I worked with many of these groups in securing space at GCCR for their activities, maintaining the calendar for the entire community center space, maintaining the schedule for multiple groups and prioritizing usage as necessary - with some creativity I never had to turn any groups away. I also coordinated many volunteer activities.In my years at GCCR I also have many other dutues. I developed and maintained databases to track volunteers and donations. Before we had an account person, I helped process manage accounts receivable and accounts payable and managed human resource and payroll administration. I wrote and editted all promotional materials before we had a marketing person and continued to do so for events until I left the organization. I also worked in the store, assuming managerial duties in the absence of a store manager and maintained our office and janitorial inventory before those duties were assumed by others.When I started at GCCR, it was just a thrift operation and a bingo operation, and I started programming at GCCR from the support groups, concerts, dances, to the art gallery.
