As a marker, I mark student’s work to help them improve. I’ve learned to be timely and efficient while marking, while also improving my skill of paying attention to detail, reading and listening.

My role as a pharmacy assistant involves customer service, providing help and assistant to customers about products, along with serving at the till. This role also involves keeping stock on shelves tidy and full, to ensure a tidy and clean working environment. Some key skills that are enhanced and that I have learned are teamwork, communication and safety of others.

As a support worker, I help a young lady that has cerebral palsy (CP). She is unable to walk and is in a wheelchair, so I assist her with eating, getting dressed, cleaning and do everyday housework for her. This role has enhanced my value of empathy and has helped me to better understand someone else's needs, while acknowledging the world from her perspective.

I had the responsibility of taking orders, bringing food to the table and ensuring that guests were satisfied with their dining experience. Some key skills that I learned in this role were communication, timeliness and management were important for operations running smoothly in a busy work environment.
