I have worked as a Pulbic Safety Dispatcher for the past 27 years. I will be retiring from this position on May 1 2013. I will be looking for a new position part time.While working at Charlottesville-Uva-Albemarle County ECC, I functioned as a General Instructor at the Central Shenadoah Criminal Justice Training Center teaching basic Communications.I was An APCO Communications Training Officer Instructor(train the trainer) and taught in house classes.My favorite class to teach was telephone policy and procedures, and terminologyI was often called on to help train new hires on both the telephone call taking and radios.I have taken the Hostage Negotiations classes for dispatchersCritical Incident Stress ManagementLeadership classesI am able to write policy and procedures,lessons plansAnd many other classes thru out my employment at ECC
