Why am I wearing a mountain bike helmet in my photo? I will get to that in just a bit, but a little about my professional experience. I love to work with people to help find the best in themselves. Whether it be as my role of a school counselor or on the mountain bike trail at a women’s clinic, it’s fulfilling to help them recognize and utilize their strengths. Prior to working in my current professional setting, I worked in the mental health field with children and families. I served as a case manager, home therapist, adolescent therapist in a psychiatric hospital, and a behavioral consultant. The experience and people I met during this time is invaluable. It helped shape me as a person and a professional. As I noted, my profile is of me wearing a mountain bike helmet. I have mountain bike racing/riding experience that spans almost 20 years. I have worked in a successful outdoor/bike shop and helped develop and coach our local NICA mountain bike team. Aside from mountain biking, you can find me trail running, skiing, snowshoeing, playing basketball, dirt biking, and more. I love to help at our women’s mountain bike clinics and help riders grow their skills and experience the love for the outdoors. It is so important to have a positive outlet outside of the professional life. I am grateful to have a good surrounding and opportunities to fulfill this part in my life. Throughout all of this, I am a dog mom to three amazing rescue pups. You can also find them out on the trails with me.
