About Cindy Coren
After working briefly as a special education teacher for the Board of Education, I believe I found a field I truly loved, rehabilitation and more specifically rehabilitation of substance abusers. In all my years as a social worker I have been challenged and involved, I can say I am never bored with what I do and constantly learn more about helping others. I have learned how to listen to what the client is saying and also what he is not saying. Addiction is a complex issue with many layers. For each answer we find there are underlying questions we never considered. Recovery comes ion stages but first there must be the willingness to take a chance to change and we must offer our clients hope guidance and support in the process.
