As my second internship, working at Vast Yonder has provided me with a fantastic opportunity to gain knowledge and a deeper understanding of how media and communications is implemented into the entertainment and events industry. I got to experience real life behind the scenes of the Yonder Festival, and learn what it takes to create and deliver a successful event and work in a high-pace environment. I was embraced by a work culture that was supportive and experience in their field. Through the team at Vast Yonder, I was able to grow in a supportive work culture and enhance my networking and relationship-building skills. Over the course of my internship, my responsibilities included:- Research and gathering various information for website and social media content - Creating WordPress posts for acts that will be appearing at Yonder- Managing a team of volunteers- Attending relevant meetings to stay updated on team and organisational goals- Utilising Google Drive and Monday.com to keep tabs on tasks and projects that are new, completed and ongoing- Managing a stage at the Yonder Festival and liaising with sound engineers and other managers to ensure a smooth show time- Managing catering slots for team members and volunteers during pre and post-fest - Assisting the Volunteers Managers with any tasks
