I have strong time management skills and the ability to complete tasks effectively. I would say that I have a keen sense of ethics when it comes to confidential information and following company policies. Probably one of the most important functions of a HR manager is good written and oral communication skills. I believe that I relay information clearly and effectively to employees at all levels. It is even important at times to be a negotiator....during hiring or during conflict resolution. Conflict resolution and management is a skill that I feel like I do very well. It is important to know how to assist people in working together and learning how to accomplish goals together. Knowledge of the company that you are working for and understanding the overall goals and expectations is so important. I pride myself in being a positive representative for the brand/company. I make it my place to continually educate myself on changing policies, procedures, etc. Never too old to learn something new. Become a SME (subject matter expert!)And one thing that I never slack on is my leadership ability. I consider myself an excellent HR Manager because I can balance being a friendly presence with taking control and helping to make things run smoothly.
